Watch for more photos -- we re going to update regularly.     Ruth Brackman Receives Emily Towne Award Ruth Brackmann, Warrenville Park District program supervisor, recently was awarded the 2011 Emily Towne Award. Created to honor a Western DuPage Special Recreation Association partner who embodies the spirit of inclusion, the award is a tribute to Emily Towne, a WDSRA inclusion staff member who passed away in 1995. "Ruth has demonstrated a remarkable sense of willingness and devotion to individuals who have special needs and to the inclusion process," WDSRA Inclusion Manager Tammy Kerrins said. “It is so rewarding to work side by side with the families and WDSRA to achieve a positive outcome for everyone,” Ruth said. “I cherish seeing the inclusion children connect with the other children -- feeling welcome and a part of the programs.”
