The Environmental Awareness Committee provides tips to live more sustainably encouraging people to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and to participate in outdoor activities and appreciation.
Summer Recycling Opportunities at the District-July, August, Sept. 2025
Our district has a recycle station located in the Recreation Center lower-level entry hall. We currently accept Eyeglasses, Ink Jet Toner Cartridges, plastic bottles and plastic grocery bags. Warrenville Park District recycle station is available for donation during office hours.
Cradles to Crayons-Ready for Learning Collection Drive (June-September)
Starting school with the essentials can impact a student’s self-esteem, attendance and success. When you support Cradles to Crayons, you help us provide much needed items to kids from birth through age 12 and empower young scholars to feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
Most Needed Items-NEW items: Notebooks, Folders, Pencils, Rulers, scissors, Crayons, Glue Sticks, Pencil Sharpeners, Erasers, and Backpacks.
The Knights of Columbus Shoe Drive collects New and Gently Used Shoes, on behalf of Share your Soles year-round.

Other Opportunities to Recycle-DuPage County Environmental Division has a Regional Hazardous Household Waste Facility located at 156 Fort Hill Drive, Naperville.
