WARRENVILLE PARK DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS RECEIVE STATEWIDE RECOGNITION

At this afternoon’s IAPD Annual Business Meeting during the Illinois Association of Park Districts / Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference, Commissioners Tina Coons and Denise DiCianni received awards as part of IAPD’s Board Member Development Program. Commissioner Coons, who has served on the board since 2017, received the Master Board Member Award. Commissioner DiCianni, who has served on the board since 2019, received the Distinctive Board Member Award. This program gives recognition to local board members who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty through committee involvement, attendance at continuing education opportunities and achievements at the local, state, and national levels.

We are pleased to announce the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Warrenville Park District for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2021. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
