On August 26, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced that a statewide indoor mask mandate will go into effect beginning Monday, August 30. As a result, masks will be required for all participants 2 years and up when entering any indoor Park District facility or participating in indoor programs regardless of vaccination status.

Outstanding Citizen Volunteers of the Year Award

We are proud to announce that Barb and Bill Crabtree have been awarded Illinois Association of Park District’s Outstanding Citizen Volunteers of the Year Award. The award recognizes citizens’ volunteer efforts to enhance a park district, forest preserve, conservation, recreation or special recreation agency program, service, parkland, open space or facility. The award was presented at IAPD’s annual Best of the Best Awards Gala on Friday, October 15, at the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, Illinois. Barb and Bill have been volunteering with the Warrenville Park District for over 16 years.…

Warrenville Park District Receives GFOA Award

We are pleased to announce the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Warrenville Park District for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2020. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. Warrenville Park District Receives Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency Award

View Distinguished Agency Press Release The Warrenville Park District has been recognized as an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency by the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association. The two statewide associations administer the Illinois Distinguished Accreditation program with the goal of improving the delivery of park and recreation services to Illinois residents. A park district or recreation agency interested in applying for Distinguished Accredited Agency recognition undergoes a detailed, lengthy process of application and evaluation. A Joint Distinguished Park and Recreation Accreditation Committee comprised of members from IAPD and IPRA coordinates the process.…
