At the February 17, 2022 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Executive Director, Tim Reinbold presented awards to Commissioners Tina Coons and Barb Thornbury for reaching Distinctive Board Member status in the Illinois Association of Park Districts Board Member Development Program. This program gives recognition to local board members who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty through committee involvement, attendance at continuing education opportunities and achievements at the local, state, and national levels. Warrenville Park District Wins State Conference Awards
At the annual Illinois Association of Park Districts / Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference in Chicago this weekend, Warrenville Park District was awarded First Place for People’s Choice and 3rd Place for our WPD Overview Video in the Agency Showcase Competition. This competition spotlights bright ideas exhibited by park, recreation and conservation agencies throughout the State of Illinois.

Warrenville Park District invites the community to contribute new, unwrapped toys for the 2021 DuPage County Toys for Tots program, hosted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Outstanding Citizen Volunteers of the Year Award
We are proud to announce that Barb and Bill Crabtree have been awarded Illinois Association of Park District’s Outstanding Citizen Volunteers of the Year Award. The award recognizes citizens’ volunteer efforts to enhance a park district, forest preserve, conservation, recreation or special recreation agency program, service, parkland, open space or facility. The award was presented at IAPD’s annual Best of the Best Awards Gala on Friday, October 15, at the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, Illinois. Warrenville Park District Receives GFOA Award
We are pleased to announce the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Warrenville Park District for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2020. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
