Warrenville Park District Wins State Conference Awards

It is with great pride that we share that the Illinois Park and Recreation Association awarded the Warrenville Park District the Overall Winner in for the Outstanding Program and Special Event Award for the Warrenville Multicultural Festival. This award is presented at their annual business meeting during the Illinois Association of Park Districts / Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference for outstanding and unique achievements in program development and implementation and special event planning. Special thanks to the Board of Commissioners and the City of Warrenville Government for making recreation a priority in Warrenville. This is a coveted statewide award, and the honor is shared with all the members of our staff, our partners, and our community members.
The Warrenville Park District was also recognized with the Exceptional Workplace Award at yesterday’s annual business meeting during the Illinois Association of Park Districts / Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference. The award consists of detailed and weighted questions pertaining to the District’s operations, support of continuing education, conducting regular safety trainings, team building, and developed wellness policies. The District is now recognized as an Exceptional Workplace for the next 5 years.
Congratulations to Executive Director, Tim Reinbold, on receiving the Chairman’s Award at the Illinois Association of Park Districts / Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference yesterday. Tim’s involvement with IPRA includes being this year’s IPRA Conference Chair and Chair of Joint Section Golf Outing. His continuous leadership with IPRA inspires us all and keeps the District connected to a wonderful world of resources in the field.
